FAQ
Writing Questions
Which marker's would you recommend using for writing on your wraptie tags?
- We have been testing the UMARK PHD Marker, PILOT Super Color Marker (fine tip with black ink), Artline Garden Marker, and the Marsh 88. So far, those markers are testing very well.
- We have seen the best results with the UMARK PHD Marker and will be offering them on our website soon.
- With any of these markers you need to give them 48 hours to completely dry and set up.
I prefer to use pencil for writing on my pot stakes. Do you have any pencil recommendations?
- For our Pot Stakes we recommend using a pencil with a darker grade than a #2. We have had very good results using HB, B and even 2B. The darkness and hardness can vary from manufacturers. This page at Pencils.com that help you pick the best graphite for your project: graphite grading scale
Why don't you recommend Sharpies?
- We do not recommend regular Sharpie permanent markers because they can and will fade very quickly.
- We have had good results in the past with Sharpies EXTREME markers and we used to sell them. Then we received a batch that seemed like they were not even as good as a regular sharpie. However, we have not tested EXTREME pens for a few years so they may have fixed the problem.
Shipping Format
What format do your wraptie tags come in?
- Our wraptie tags come in the form of sheets or rolls wound on a core. They are perforated on each side so they can easily torn off of the roll/sheet. We do not sell individually separated or pre-separated tags.
